How does the Rohloff internal gear hub benefit riders?
- The Rohloff internal gear hub brings several key advantages to our Jäger‑series ebikes. First, it offers a 14‑speed drivetrain with a massive 526% gear range, giving you plenty of low gears for steep climbs and high gears for faster stretches. Because all the gears are sealed inside the hub, there’s no exposed derailleur or cassette to catch on brush or accumulate mud, which dramatically reduces maintenance and improves reliability. The hub also lets you shift through multiple gears at once, even while you’re standing still, so you can drop into the right gear before tackling a steep hill or picking up speed after a stop. How much weight can the Scout Jäger carry, and what size riders does it fit?
- The Jager is rated to carry 350 lb of rider and gear. It is offered in a 19‑inch frame, which suits riders 5′ 10″ and taller. Fat‑tire traction and a full‑suspension setup ensure a comfortable ride even when the bike is loaded down.
Can I use Bakcou trailers with the Scout Jäger?
- Not without a special axle. The Scout Jäger is not compatible out of the box with Bakcou ebike trailers. To tow a cargo or deer cart, you must use a different rear axle, which is available through Bakcou. Feel free to reach out to our customer service team with any questions you may have!
What is the warranty coverage?
- For all Bakcou ebikes, we stand behind your purchase with a one‑year limited manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty starts the day you receive your bike and covers major components like the battery, frame, motor, controller, wiring harness and LCD display. To activate your coverage, be sure to register your bike within 30 days of delivery; the warranty is valid only for the original owner and can’t be transferred. It protects you against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship but doesn’t cover normal wear, misuse or modifications. If you ever have a problem, just reach out to our support team and we’ll guide you through the warranty claim process.

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail. If your item(s) are available, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.
Order Shipment:
If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. Shipping Times:
Shipping to the lower 48 usually takes between 3 to 5 business days but you should allow 3 to 10 business days depending on carrier used and delivery location.
